The Path

This weekend while I was in Lufkin, I decided to take a walk in my parents back yard. Now unlike Dallas, my parents house is surrounded by trees. There is little pond in front to the side of our house and looking out the windows from my parents room is a bigger pond. So I asked Pop, now which way do I go, we had been the last time I was home but he had changed the path. I just wanted to be alone with the Lord, so no i-pod or anything. Just the noise of the birds and squirrels running through the trees. As I continued on my walk I came to a spot on the path do I go to the left or the right. I actually just stopped and looked around before deciding which way I would go. Then the Lord just laid on my heart, Jenn this is your life sometimes YOU choose this path instead of the Path I have for you. The Lord wants us more than anything to choose his PATH, even when there are hard times. He wants us to learn to walk by Faith and to Completely Trust him. How do we do this??
IT starts by spending time with the Lord, by reading his Word. Then Journaling what he shows you, spending time in PRAYER , and Meditating on his word.
Which Path will You Choose,
Jenn

Disappointments of Life

Life is full of Happy Moments, and then there are the Disappointments of Life, and lately I have had to face a few hard ones. Through these disappointments and broken moments I am learning how much GOD is taking care of situations and he is going before me. Here is a verse that I am clinging to today!

Deuteronomy 31:6
BE strong and courageous, do not be afraid or tremble at them, for the Lord you God is the ONE who Goes with you. He will not fail you or forsake you.

This VERSE brings me JOY, because I do not understand these disappointments they are all in God's plans to make me depend and Surrender it all to God.

If you are facing a Disappointment, I pray that you would let the Lord carry you through!

Being Joyful in this Journey,
Jenn

Blessings

My precious co-worker Sally sent me this video, and it has blessed my heart! Take a minute to watch this video and just listen to the WORDS! They are POWERFUL! I have watched it several times today!
What are your blessings coming from? I just have to tell you some of the greatest blessings in my life lately have been through the tears that I have shed, knowing God has such a plan for my life and it has grown me closer to Him.

God is so Good! I'm so thankful for the blessings!

OH, How He Love US

This past summer at Beach Camp, J-Wood taught us this song! Of course as we were at the Beach I got up to have my quiet time and just looking out over the water, waves, fish, and sand, I just couldn't help but feel in AWE of the Lord as I kept singing this song.

Lately this song has just been on my heart! I hope you will let it minister to you, today with whatever you are facing in life or if you just need a reminder of how much God loves us!

In Awe By His Love,
Jenn

Relish

I am like a little kid right now, wanting to share with you how God keeps bringing me back to this word this week. No, I'm not talking about pickle relish...
Yesterday my Amazing Friend Carla and I have been praying about a certain thing for me, and on Monday God answered that Prayer. As I sent her a text telling her about it, she sent me back a message, that has made me think...

Carla's words, " Relish in the fact that HE cares for YOU!" So of course I started thinking how it was interesting she said the word relish. I hadn't really heard that word used like that before.

As I was listening to a message today, the pastor is talking and Low and Behold, Yep,,, He said to Relish what God is doing in your life.

Tonight, I came home and quickly logged into my computer to look up the word Relish. It has several different meanings, here are some I found on dictionary.com
Relish:
  • to take pleasure in; like; enjoy
  • a smack, trace, or touch of something.
  • a pleasing or enjoyable quality.
  • liking or enjoyment of the taste of something.
  • pleasurable appreciation of anything; liking:
After I looked up the definition of this word I started thinking about how God wants to take Pleasure in my life. Does he see the pleasure when I am worrying or having anxiety about things going on in my life? No, he wants me to relish and focus on Him and the wonderful things he has put in my life and the intimacy of a relationship that I have with the Lord that continues to Grow.

What will you Relish about today?

Trying Something New

A few months ago I decided to step out and Face something I am not that great at and something that I FEAR... Co-Ed Softball..

All of a sudden I had this desire to try something new and tonight was our first game. Why is this a FEAR of mine. If you know me I like to be successful at every thing I do, and I've always been intimated by people who are just naturally talented at Sports. Recently I decided to conquer this FEAR...

I was very grateful to have gotten to practice throwing last weekend, breaking my new glove in!

In Tonight's adventure I learned....
  • Wearing cleats is so Fun!! It took a little bit to get use to them but I'm breaking them in.
  • Tonight I played Catcher, it was great, you get alot of action. I wonder how sore I will
  • I asked the umpire what tips could he give me on catching; he just kept saying, "Don't get hit by the ball"..
  • We lost by 1 run in the last inning...
  • Hitting- I struck out and got 2 hits but I got out at First. My hitting needs some work!
I am excited about this new Journey, and I loved being on the field and not in the stands. Also I am so blessed to be on a team that is so encouraging and uplifting.

Stay tuned for more on the Upcoming Season of Softball...

Life Lately.....

Well I feel like I haven't written in forever... Don't worry I have written some blogs that I will publish one day, but for now they are in my Journal.

My March Madness Bracket did terrible...

The Rangers are BACK!! I can not wait to go to a Game. Side Note-- I'm really excited to watch the Giants play to root on 1st baseman- Brandon Belt#9... I'm so happy for Haylee and Brandon!

After working out for over a month, getting up at 4:45, and still not losing any weight, I have decided to go back to working out in the afternoons. It has been so great to have a longer time to just spend with the Lord.

I've been doing a lot of studying, preparing for a test to add to my certification. We were sitting in a training a few weeks ago, and a song popped into my head:

I've got the Joy, Joy, Joy
Down in my Heart...Where??
Down in My heart....

In the midst of preparing for this test, the Lord has given me some breathers such as getting to stay with Haley and Zach Roberts this past weekend. They are just a blast to hang out with, and make me laugh!

Well I have to get back to the books...But I will write more later...
Loving Life,
Jenn
