Another Quick and Easy Crock pot Recipe

As many of you know I love cooking out of the crock pot and love creating recipes by looking to see what I have in my pantry!

Ingredients:
6 frozen chicken tenderloin strips
1 can of Enchilada Sauce( I chose the can with green chile with it)
1 can of Rotel
1/2 bag of assorted green bell peppers and onions

First, dump all of your liquid ingredients into your crock pot. Then add your onions and bell peppers, and then your chicken. Next, let it cook in the crock pot on low for 6-8 hours. You can eat it with tortillas or chips.

Let me know your thoughts on this easy recipe!!
Happy Cooking,
Jenn

Just a Matter of the Mind

I don't know about you but I like to sometimes take things in my own hands and tell God this is what I would like to have happen and have control of the situation. When I do this I'm taking away from what God has planned for me. Even though I do not like waiting for the answer I am praying for at times. I am learning that when I take matters in my own hands, I get very anxious, and nervous. As I was reading my One Year Bible this weekend God showed me a very important verse:

Is:25:3-4
You keep him in Perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he Trusts you. Trust in the Lord forever, for the Lord God is an everlasting Rock!

My prayer as I continue this race is to have my mind staying on the Lord, and to trust him to work out every little detail of my life. When we truly trust the Lord, he gives us a PEACE that only comes through him! The peace that God gives us truly does take the anxieties away!
I'm praying that even though the situation might be hard you will choose to Trust God and allow him to give you the PEACE that only he can give!

God Bless,
Jenn

A Day We Will Never Forget
9/11/2001

I remember driving to college that morning and everything started out as just another day. I was at Stephen F. Austin in one of my early childhood classes with Mrs. Harkness. We were in the building were the smaller children were playing down the hall. On that day we were working on our center cards, when a faculty member ran in and said turn on the news. Everything stopped, we watched, and we waited......I remember so many emotions from that day tears, shock, angry, and etc!

I can not believe it has been 10 years since that emotional day. My heart breaks for all of the people who lost loved ones, especially the children. I thank God for all of the people who work hour after hour, day after day to fight and protect our Freedom. For all of those in New York and the families that lost their love ones, I pray that they feel the Peace from the Lord as they remember that horrible morning today!

God Bless America!

Short and Sweet....

When I woke up this morning the verse I wrote in my Journal was on my mind!
I read the verse
Psalms 51:10 Create in me a clean Heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me.

Even though Ive heard this verse so many times, it has really been on my heart. Every day is a new day with a fresh start! Take the time to clean out the junk that might way heavy on your heart and be weighing you down, let it God so God can renew your Spirit and Draw you closer to him!

Blessings,
Jenn

Labor Day in 02

Labor Day in 02 is a weekend I will never forget. After interviewing for numerous teaching jobs and being told they were looking for some one with experience. I was so disappointed but really felt led to move to Dallas. So on the Friday of labor day, I started moving into my 1st apartment in Lewsiville. As I was moving stuff in, I got a call from a school in Richardson who wanted me to come in as soon as possible to interview me for a first grade position. I was so excited, I truly could not believe what was happening so quickly. After the interview they hired me on the spot and my TEACHING CAREER BEGAN! I spent 2 years in Richardson teaching 1st grade.

Then I had the opportunity to go teach in Allen with my best friend and through my teaching journey I have been blessed with many amazing CO-Workers, bosses, and friends. I can not believe I have started my 10th year of teaching. Oh how the time has flown by, the many stories that I have about my students, or the ones who have taught me to really open my eyes.

I just want to say Thank you to all of those of have been apart of this Journey of my Teaching Career! I would not be teaching without all of the teachers who taught me and gave me such a love for teaching and loving children!

Amazed at God's Plan,
Jenn
He's Got My Back

Over the last few weeks there has been a lot going on in my life. School has started back, and I have the sweetest kids. Ive been trying to get back in routine, but I have had some bumps in the road with my AC going out in my house twice. I'm looking for a new car, but right now I'm driving moms car. In every situation The Lord has revealed himself to me by showing me he has my BACK. He knows exactly what is going to happen and he is going to take care of me! No matter what is happening in your life, just give it to the Lord and he will take care of you!

The verse I have been leaning on lately fits so Perfectly!2 Peter 5:7 Cast all your anxieties on the Lord and he cares for you!

Blessed because he has my Back,
Jenn
